Fermented Plant Juice

Fermented Plant Juice
Kakawate (Gliricidia sepium)
Organic Pesticide
October 07, 2012

I have made a small scale production of the Fermented Plant Juice using Kakawate (Gliricidia sepium) leaves.

The proportion are as follows:
250g Kakawate leaves
125g Brown Sugar
125g Water

I have managed to buy a net at a nearby palengke near our
area.

As instructed, I chopped the Kakawate Leaves, finer than
what is shown at the picture below. So it would be easier to mash it with the rest of the ingredients later on.

Then I mixed the given proportion of brown sugar and water. Added it into the kakawate, mashed it all together.

These were all transferred to the netbag and a small pail container.

Finally it was covered with muslin cloth, secured with a rubber and labelled.

I'll update you with the progress in four weeks!

  1. it the first time i saw someone used kakawate for FPJ. usually floating lily, malunggay and other abundant plants in thier area. kakawate is anti bacteria and may kill off natural bacteria that converts rubbish to nutrients for plants to absorb in the soil. Fish amino acid is awesome also.
